From Elfin Shelter, follow old road down to creek
Short Description: The Mamquam Lake trail starts from the popular Elfin Lakes shelter. It first drops into the col north of the cabin, then follows old roads above the Ring Creek drainage, before finally dropping into Ring Creek. Once down in the barren Ring Creek drainage, the trail goes east towards the Bishop Glacier. Before the icefields, it climbs over the ridge to the south and traverses through Rampart Ponds- a spectacular volcanic moonscape, and finally descends into Mamquam Lake.
